Christmas Fayre

On Friday 14th December members of Friends of Fairlop held a Christmas Fayre. We had some fantastic stalls, some really lovely cakes had been made, lots of gifts and toys for Christmas and mulled wine and mince pies. 

We were also really lucky to have carols provided by the children and teachers in Year 5!

 We had a really good turn out of parents and friends and thanks to you we raised a massive £325.32!!

 

The day before the Fayre we had some parents in to make and bake mince pies which we also sold on the day - they were delicious!

Cystic Fibrosis & Asthma fundraising day - March 2012

This event has also been posted on our main blog, but to thank everyone who helped & supported us on 8th March, raising over £800 on our fantastic fundraising day for both Cystic Fibrosis and Asthma charities.

Halloween Disco!

Thank you to everyone who organised and supported our Halloween disco.

We made a profit of £502.48

For those who were unable to get a ticket, we are planning more discos for this academic year. So watch this space...

Comic Relief
Thank you to everyone who donated cakes and those who bought them at our Comic Relief coffe morning and cake sale on 18th March!

Quiz Night

Thank you to everyone who attended the quiz night.... we hope you all had a good time! We raised the school a profit of

£245 

We have lots of different events coming up now that we are in our Summer Term, starting with a Tea/Coffee and cake morning which is on Wednesday 15th June at 9:30am.We would be very grateful if you could please donate cakes on the morning. All proceeds will go to Friends of Fairlop (to be spent on things for our school).

Then on Saturday 21st May we have our Camping night. This is a night of fun and games and it all takes place on the school field. (see website for further details). You will need to book now if you want to come along!

Our latest successful events were the Easter Hunt and Parade and Our Royal Wedding Party - we would like to thank all the FOF for the fantastic work carried out in helping with these events.

FOF update

Friends of Fairlop  had a great fundraising year from the many events held at school.    We raised nearly £200 from the Camping Night, a fantastic £1,045 at Go Bonkers, £450 from the Halloween Disco and are just awaiting the Heritage Day total to be confirmed.

Recently, your children drew a picture of themselves and we have had them printed onto a tea towel!  The various pictures display a wealth of talent throughout the year groups and make a fantastic memento for you to keep. All profits go back to the children to buy things for the school.

The tea towels will be on sale various days in the run up to Christmas, mainly Wednesdays and Fridays.

They will also be on sale at the Christmas productions and Christmas Grotto. Should you be unable to buy direct from us, we are still more than happy to take your money!!!  Please hand in an envelope to the school office with details of how many you would like, which year group, your child's name and class. We will then send the Tea Towels direct to your child for them to bring home.

At the moment we are in the process of purchasing a new sound system and a new sports strip for our sporting teams to go out and represent our school in style!

Camping Night at Fairlop

On the evening of 17th May, we held our first ever Camping Night on Fairlop Primary School's Field. Although the day started off rather wet people still arrived with their tents feeling optimistic about their stay. After setting up home for the evening the children went into the hall for some fun and games. Then after a hectic night it was back to your tents for some sleep.
When we woke up the next morning we were all pleased to see the sun in the sky. It was lovely to wake to the smell of home cooked breakfast. After breakfast lots of children made the most of the dry weather and were riding their scooters or playing swingball outside of their tents.
A good evening camping was had by all.
